Peg Sandin
Lake Superior’s south shore is a very special place to Peg Sandin. Her
parents had a cottage at Little Girl’s Point, north of Ironwood, Michigan,
and she spent her childhood picking agates, swimming and playing on Superior’s
beaches. When Peg, with her own family, moved back to the area in 1977, they renewed
their interest in the region and eventually purchased a cabin on the Lake. To
them, the south shore is a unique place to walk. The uncrowded shoreline is a
place to contemplate Superior, feeling the spirit and power of the big lake.
Peg Sandin has participated in numerous courses and workshops with master watercolorists.
She has captured first place awards and exhibited in art shows throughout the
Midwest. Her work is on display in a select number of fine art galleries in the
region as well as in collections both public and private in the U.S. and abroad.
She also instructs in watercolor, holding classes in various locations in the
region.
